I've seen them around, but never interacted with one before.
Stopped at the boozer on the way home. The lot is very small and tight. Pulled in enough to see all the spots were taken except the handicap spot. Looked beside me and see there's a guy in his car taking 2 spots.
"Hey...he's just getting out of his car". I roll down my window and ask, "Could you please move so I can park?" He looks to the rest of the lot and is unable to tell me to just park somewhere else. He hums and haws...but to my surprise, he gets back in and moves it. Cool!
While getting out of my car and walking to the store I think about the possibility he may do something to my car while I'm still inside. Asshole-parker could be an asshole. The gears of worry are turning.
Luckily I see him inside and give him a strong thank you. Didn't mean it, just protecting myself. All ended well.
